St. Louis Symphony Orchestra announces additional updates to 2025/26 season, single tickets for most concert on sale today

(July 22, 2025, St. Louis, MO) – Today, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra announced that single tickets for most concerts of its 2025/26 season are now on sale. In addition, the orchestra announced the addition of two programs—Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony and Tower of Power.

All concerts will take place at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center (718 N. Grand Blvd.), which will reopen in September 2025 following a two-year expansion and renovation of Powell Hall, the orchestra’s home since 1968. The transformed venue, designed by acclaimed architecture firm Snøhetta, better serves audiences and artists by improving all aspects of the visitor experience, from improved safety and accessibility measures to added amenities on all levels, and a renovation of the internationally recognized concert hall.

Single tickets for all classical concerts in the 25/26 season— the orchestra’s 146th and seventh with Music Director Stéphane Denève—are on sale and include a wide array of symphonic and choral-orchestral repertoire. Highlights include monumental performances of beloved favorites, including Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7; Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 and Violin Concerto; W.A. Mozart’s complete opera The Magic Flute in concert; Igor Stravinsky’s complete music to the ballet The Firebird; three world premieres, one US premiere, and two SLSO co-commissions; and more. Tickets for all previously announced films, holidays, specials, happy hour concerts, chamber music concerts, and recitals are also on sale. Single tickets for the SLSO’s Live at The Sheldon series, a chamber music series in collaboration with The Sheldon, will go on sale on Friday, August 8.

Single tickets are available for purchase at slso.org or by calling the Box Office at 314-534-1700. Subscriptions and subscription add-on concerts are also available now at slso.org. Group tickets for all concerts are available at slso.org/groups or by calling 314-286-4155.

New concert offerings

The SLSO announces two additions to the slate of 25/26 season concerts, including a concert celebrating the musical legacy of beloved singer-songwriter Dolly Parton and a one-night-only collaboration with funk and soul ensemble Tower of Power.

NEWLY ANNOUNCED—Dolly Parton’s Threads (January 17-18, 2026)

American icon Dolly Parton’s heart and soul comes to the concert hall in Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony—a multimedia journey through Dolly’s life and music with the SLSO. Featuring Dolly on screen, sharing the stories behind her songs and personal reflections on an extraordinary career, this special performance presents new orchestrations of her time-honored songs, including “I Will Always Love You,” “Coat of Many Colors,” and “Jolene” with bold, symphonic arrangements.

NEWLY ANNOUNCED—Tower of Power (April 15, 2026)

R&B/funk band Tower of Power teams up with the SLSO in a fusion of its signature funk and soul with sweeping symphonic arrangements. This concert transforms iconic hits like “What Is Hip?” and “You’re Still a Young Man” with lush orchestrations. The band’s powerhouse horns meet the grandeur of the orchestra in a one-night-only event.
