Fireworks over bandshell during Forest Park concert

Free Community Concerts

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra offers dozens of performances throughout the St. Louis area during the year in schools, houses of worship, healthcare facilities, and in public spaces. The hallmark free community concert is the SLSO’s annual concert in Forest Park, which has served as the ceremonial opening of the orchestra’s season for most years since 1968.

Other free community concerts have taken place at locations including the Gateway Arch, the Jewel Box, 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters, Washington University, the Jewish Community Center, and at the orchestra’s home in Powell Hall. Check this page for upcoming community events.
