Symphony Volunteer Association

Come for the music, stay for the friendship!

Celebrating its 100th anniversary during the 2026/27 season, the Symphony Volunteer Association (SVA) has supported the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a century.

Through unique education programs, volunteer opportunities, fundraising projects and more, SVA members help advance the SLSO’s mission and reach thousands of students each season.

100 Years of History

For 100 years, Symphony Volunteer Association members have found many ways—sometimes highly visible, sometimes nearly invisible—to strengthen the SLSO and connect it more deeply with the community. What began as a ticket sales support organization has grown to support a variety of activities.

We’re glad you’re here! We offer a plethora of opportunities to support this wonderful orchestra and promote the SLSO’s mission of enriching lives through the power of music.

Whether you found your way to the SVA via a friend’s invitation, in search of meaningful volunteer opportunities, or as a total newcomer to our community, we hope you’ll consider becoming a member. There are many ways to serve and plenty of rewards, from sharing the joy of music and the gratification of helping others to the friendships we gain along the way.
