Embracing Neurodiversity
A Sensory Perspective in the Classroom and Concert Hall
Created in partnership with St. Louis Children’s Hospital and BJC Healthcare.
Music teachers can be powerful allies for neurodivergent students in their school communities. Guided by occupational therapist Monica Carlson from BJC Healthcare, we’ll deepen our understanding of sensory processing and sensory differences. We’ll explore options to support sensory processing differences both in the music classroom and in the concert hall and we’ll discover ways to adapt musical activities in our school communities.
This workshop is designed for elementary music teachers.
Workshop is free. Space is limited.
