St. Louis Symphony Orchestra names Scott Lanning Chief Financial Officer
(February 19, 2025, St. Louis, MO) – Today, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) announced the appointment of Scott Lanning, CPA, as its Chief Financial Officer.
Marie-Hélène Bernard, SLSO President and CEO, said, “Scott brings outstanding financial management experience to the SLSO in this pivotal time as we look forward to returning to our expanded and renovated home. The SLSO is poised for tremendous growth, and Scott will be an important partner to our team and our Board as we continue to shape a successful trajectory for our institution, in service to our community. Lanning brings more than 30 years of senior strategic financial management experience, having served in a variety of roles at Enterprise Mobility, including as Controller. Most recently, he served on the leadership team of the Sansone Group overseeing finance, accounting, and administrative responsibilities. Lanning has held board positions on the St. Louis Minority Business Council and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Missouri and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Louis University.
Reporting to Bernard, Lanning will oversee a broad portfolio for the SLSO, including finance, facilities, human resources, and information technology. He succeeds Steven Rosenzweig, who served the SLSO from 2019 until his appointment as President and CEO of the Jewish Community Center in November 2024.
The SLSO has an operating budget of $35.2 million in its current fiscal year ending August 31.
