About this Concert

Savor each note at this season’s Playlist: Symphony Happy Hour concerts—for the classical curious and those looking to share their love of music. Sip signature cocktails and mocktails, enjoy conductor insights, and mingle with musicians at these special one-hour concerts designed to inspire, relax, and spark conversation.

Dive into the breathtaking, ever-moving, and wondrous sea of Debussy’s La Mer. As Debussy wrote to his publisher, “The sea…has shown me all her moods…. Music is a free art, boundless as the elements, the wind, the sky, and the sea.”

Keep the night going at After Party, the SLSO’s post-concert hang. Enjoy a set by DJ Stazi in the lobby as you sip drinks and connect with friends. No additional ticket is required.
Note: Featured artists are not scheduled to appear at After Party.

- Playlist welcomes everyone curious about classical music—whether you’re coming to the symphony for the first time or diving deeper into a beloved piece. The conductor guides you through exactly what you’re listening to, making the experience accessible and engaging for all.
- Stick around after the concert to meet musicians, and try the SLSO’s new Symphony Helles Lager, a crisp lager made exclusively for us by Perennial Artisan Ales.
- Debussy considered becoming a sailor at one point and kept a lifelong attachment to “my old friend, the sea; it is always endless and beautiful. It is really the thing in nature which best puts you in your place.”
