Arts Intensives
Empower your students’ creativity and musical expression. In partnership with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, this 8–10-week residency guides students at various grade levels through the process of creating and performing an original musical work.

Past Arts Intensives
Fall 2021: Sumner High School, St. Louis Public Schools, presents: Worth Fighting For, premiered on December 9, 2021 at Sumner High School.
Fall 2022: Normandy Schools Collaborative presents The Big Bad Day. This one-act opera was written and performed by Normandy Schools Collaborative (NSC) students and premiered on November 29, 2022 in the Anheuser-Busch Theater at the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. The Big Bad Day is an original piece based on the book The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka.
Spring 2023: Jennings Jr. High School and Jennings High School present The Letter, premiered on March 13, 2023 at Jennings High School.
Fall 2023: Grand Center Arts Academy presents Little Red: The Musical, premiered on December 6, 2023, at the Sun Theatre.
The Big Bad Day, The Letter, and Little Red were created in partnership with E. Desmond Lee Fine Arts Education Collaborative at UMSL.
