Extra Credit: On Stage at Powell

Extra Credit shines a spotlight on the dedication and talent of school music educators. In this free community concert, educators take the stage alongside SLSO musicians, in celebration of the powerful role music teachers play in shaping the next generation. It’s a chance to honor their impact and share their artistry in an iconic concert hall.

In past Extra Credit concerts, musicians have performed works by Alexander Borodin, Antonín Dvořák, Edvard Grieg, Modest Mussorgsky, Maurice Ravel, Bedřich Smetana, Dmitri Shostakovich, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and John Williams.

Fri, Apr 24 at Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center
4:00pm rehearsal, 7:00pm concert

School music educators are invited to apply.

Applications open Tue, Sep 2–Tue, Jan 5
