Donor Spotlight: Brad and Debbie Goss
For Brad and Debbie Goss, supporting the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra as donors and volunteers is about being part of “a community that enriches the cultural life of St. Louis.” It’s also about sustaining SLSO community and education programs that engage young people, offering vital access to music education and resources.
“We find the outreach to youth to be inspiring,” Brad said.
Brad and Debbie started attending SLSO concerts regularly in 2017.

They were joined by their friend and fellow donor, Hill Williams, and still regularly lean on Williams’ knowledge of classical music. Debbie’s parents, Allan and Barbara Bennett, are also subscribers and donors who make the journey from Carbondale, Illinois, to enjoy music at Powell Hall.
However, Brad and Debbie’s SLSO community extends beyond immediate family.
“We nearly always run into people we know who also appreciate great music in a live environment,” Debbie said.
They are also active in the Symphony Volunteer Association.
One of Brad and Debbie’s favorite concerts was the November 2025 program featuring pianist Joyce Yang performing Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Kevin John Edusei conducting Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. They are uplifted and inspired by the talent and commitment of the SLSO’s musicians and guest artists alike, and are keen to ensure future generations have the same access to exceptional orchestral music.
“We understand that the SLSO is one of St. Louis’ greatest assets, and that maintaining the fiscal health of such a great institution relies heavily on donations in addition to ticket revenue,” Debbie said.
