Anya Akhmadullina

Anya Akhmadullina is a senior at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri. This is her 2nd year with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. 

Anya has been selected for the 1st violin section of the Missouri All-State Orchestra three years in a row, leading as concertmaster in 2023. Anya participates in MMTA competitions yearly for both violin and piano, winning eleven times.  

In the summer of 2023, Anya attended the Musica Mundi festival in Belgium, performing chamber music and playing in the orchestra with featured soloists Nikolai Lugansky and Mischa Maisky. In 2024, Anya was selected to perform in the National Youth Orchestra of the USA (NYO-USA) under the baton of Marin Alsop with soloist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, performing in Carnegie Hall and on tour in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil.  

Anya is very grateful to her dedicated teacher Professor Julie Rosenfeld. She would like to express her gratitude to Maestro Scott Yoo for his inspiring coachings. She would also like to thank her previous instructors, Amy Appold, Pavel Ilyashov, Renan Leme, and Siri Geenen, for their amazing support.
