Ezra Leslie

Ezra Leslie has played the trombone for six years; he is seventeen years old and will be beginning his senior year at Lafayette Senior High. He will be entering his fourth year as a member of the Lafayette Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, and the Lancer Regiment marching band. Recently, Ezra participated in his third year of the St. Louis All Suburban Band and was selected as a member of the All State Concert Band. He has earned numerous gold ratings at the suburban and state levels at Solo and Ensemble. This is his first year as a member of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as his first year participating in JazzU.

Alongside his musical accomplishments, Ezra is a hard-working AP student who enjoys Dr. Pepper and playing with his dogs. Ezra has been studying under his private lesson teacher, Gabe Mueller, and would like to thank both her and his band director, Brad Balog, for their unending patience and guidance in his musical education. He would also like to thank his parents for supporting him in his passion for music, his brothers for setting him onto the low brass path, and his sister for helping him write this biography.
