A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Klaus Jöstlein has been playing violin since age four.
Early studies were with Edmund Sprunger, and he currently takes from Winifred Crock. He is an active member of the JazzU program, and has played onstage with jazz legend Regina Carter.
He has performed solos several times in Powell Hall as part of the “Picture the Music” program, and has given recitals in Germany, Boulder, Michigan, Nebraska and Illinois, and was in the 2023 Interlochen National Music Camp.
