Lily Gunawan

Lily Gunawan is a 14-year-old freshman at Pattonville High School. She is excited to join the Saint Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra for the first time. Gunawan moved from California to Missouri in 2022. She started playing the harp two years ago.  

Gunawan has earned a superior rating in harp for the Missouri Music Educators Association’s Solo and Ensemble festival. She also sometimes plays the harp at senior centers. In addition to the harp, Gunawan plays the piano, flute, and guitar. During her spare time, she likes to read, write fiction, draw, and play with her dog.  

Gunawan would like to thank her current harp instructor, Megan Stout, past piano teachers Angela Cox and Nathan Lewis, and past band teachers Elizabeth Pace and Abigail Hall. She would also like to thank her family and friends for their support.
