Lisa Chong
Violinist Lisa Chong has been a member of the St. Louis Symphony since 1999. Originally from Beaverton, Oregon, Lisa received her B.A. in English at Stanford University in 1996, and her M.M. and Artist Diploma from Yale School of Music in 1998 and 1999.
She has appeared as soloist with the Oregon Symphony, the Portland Youth Philharmonic, and the Stanford Symphony. While at Yale, she was a member of the New Haven Symphony. During her school years, Chong spent summers as a fellowship student at the Aspen Music Festival, as well as attending the Pacific Music Festival in Japan and the Taos School of Music. More recently, she has spent summers at the Grand Teton Music Festival in Wyoming and the Sun Valley Symphony in Idaho.
