Luke Reske

Providence Academy

Luke Reske is a 17-year-old senior at Providence Academy. He has been playing piano for twelve years and studies with Donna Vince and Daniel Schene. This is his first year in the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra.  

Luke does frequent accompanying, teaches a studio, and plays chamber music in the Preparatory Program at the Community Music School (CMS) of Webster University. He has received awards for solo and concerto playing in the MMTA and NFMC competitions and has attended the Indiana University Summer Piano Academy three times. He has also played viola in several CMS ensembles, having studied with Joanna Mendoza and Eliana Haig. He enjoys composition and arranging, attending symphony concerts, and learning about musicology and theory. He also loves history and literature classes.  

Luke would like to thank his family for their support and enthusiasm for his musical activities, as well as Ms. Vince, Mr. Schene, Ms. Mendoza, Mr. Patrick Jackson, Mrs. Christa Reiter, and Mr. Matthew Janssen among many others for their invaluable instruction and guidance.
