Mayson Brandt

Mayson Brandt currently attends Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville where he is majoring in Music Performance and is studying under Dr. Robert Jordan. Mayson transferred to Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in January of 2024 from Kaskaskia College where he was studying under Caren Vittetoe. Mayson is from Carlyle, Illinois and now resides in Alton, Illinois. Mayson joined the Carlyle Beginning Band in 2013 where he chose bassoon as his first instrument. This will be Mayson’s first year in the St. Louis Youth Orchestra.  

When Mayson is not on the stage or in the practice room he loves traveling, especially to Arizona where he goes every year. He also likes anything outdoors.
