Youth Orchestra
Melanie Migneco
Melanie Migneco is a senior at Lindbergh High School, and has been playing viola for eight years, and taking lessons for the last three. She is excited to join St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra as an alternate for the first year.
Aside from classical music, Melanie has recently found herself immersed in jazz and improvisation, being fortunate enough to participate in CLAZZ, an international classical-jazz workshop that had a week-long intensive here in St. Louis taught by jazz violinist/violist Matt Pickart. When she’s not practicing, Melanie enjoys cooking (favorites being Indian and Ethiopian foods), baking, and sitting down with a good book.
Melanie would like to thank her family (especially for listening to the same few bars over and over again), her high school director Mrs. Landers, and private instructor Laura Reycraft, as well as anyone else who has helped make this musical journey possible.
