Sophie Hughes

Sophie Hughes is 14 years old and a freshman at Ladue High School. She has played violin since age 7 and is currently a student of Joo Kim. Sophie was concert master at the Ladue Middle School orchestra and played first violin in the Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra at the Community Music School in Webster.  She is passionate about chamber music and has participated in the Arianna Chamber Music Festival for the past 2 summers. Sophie would like to thank her teachers Joo Kim, Vera Parkin, Ethan Mayer, and the Arianna String Quartet for fostering her love for violin. In her spare time, Sophie likes to sing, play guitar, and spend time with friends.
