Sophie Hughes

Sophie Hughes is 15 years old and a sophomore at Ladue High School. She began playing violin since age 7 and currently studies with Joo Kim. Sophie has played in Community Music School orchestras including SO and YPSO and is currently in the Prep program, also has enjoyed the Arianna Chamber Music Festival in the summer. Sophie likes to play guitar, cook, and go on camping trips, including spending two months hiking in the Pacific Northwest this past summer. Sophie would like to thank her teachers Joo Kim, Vera Parkin, Ethan Mayer, Caroline Zarinelli, Gennadi Aronson, and the Arianna String Quartet for fostering her love for music.
