A Strong Start to the Season

By Justino Gordón-LeChevalié

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra’s 145th Season launched with back-to-back blockbuster events. Many of you spent an evening with Music Director Stéphane Denève as he conducted John Williams’s unforgettable score for E. T. The Extraterrestrial and came back just a few days later to celebrate our Opening Weekend concert. Some of you were with us at STL City as members of your SLSO’s brass section played the National Anthem on the pitch (GO CITY SC!) or you were with us on the dance floor of the Hawthorn as DJ Masonic (A.K.A Mason Bates) DJ’d a dazzling EDM party with SLSO musicians. And a whopping 45,000 of you joined us on Art Hill for our annual Forest Park concert.

Take a look at just a few highlights of the last month.
