Questions about the 25/26 season

• When will Powell Hall reopen?

  We are excited to welcome you back to Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center in September 2025. Our opening weekend of concerts is September 26–28.

• What improvements will I see in the audience experience?

  You’ll enjoy a more relaxing and immersive experience, with upgraded amenities, including:

  • Spacious seating: More legroom with new, more comfortable seats
  • Enhanced ambience: Improved acoustics, lighting, and sound resistance
  • Expanded amenities: More restrooms, elevators, and concessions located closer to your seat
  • New gathering areas: New spaces include a multi-story lobby, a coat check, an outdoor plaza, and an upgraded donor lounge on the Dress Circle level
  • Improved accessibility and safety: Multiple ADA-compliant entrances, enhanced security, more ADA seating options, handrails, a softer auditorium slope, and a new viewing room for guests with sensory sensitivities.

• What are my parking options?

  We are working to make parking as convenient as possible. The SLSO will operate its own parking lot immediately east of Powell Hall, accessible from Delmar Blvd. and Samuel Shepard Dr.

  • Subscribers receive priority access to prepaid parking in the SLSO lot and shuttles starting in spring 2025.
  • Accessibility is improved with 20 ADA spots and enhanced security and lighting.
  • Donors will continue to receive parking and valet benefits according to giving levels.
  • Drop-off/pick-up will be easier with guest drop-off locations and designated areas for rideshares like Uber and Lyft.
  • Nearby parking options are numerous in Grand Center.

• When can I purchase tickets?

  Curated and compose-your-own subscriptions are on sale now. Subscription packages start at six concerts. To secure and keep seating priority, subscribe by April 14. Stay tuned for more concert announcements in spring and summer 2025 to add to your subscription. Single tickets go on sale in summer 2025.

• How are seats assigned for subscribers?

  Subscribe by April 14 to receive priority seating. Once you’ve subscribed and received your initial seat assignments, you can make any necessary adjustments during the subscriber exchange window this summer, before single tickets go on sale.

• How do I find seating and pricing information?

  View the Powell Hall seat map for classical concerts here. For films, holidays, and all other concerts, subscribers have access to seating and pricing options when logged in. If you’re composing your own series, you’ll be able to view pricing information as you build your package.

• What are the food and beverage options?

  The Jack C. Taylor Music Center, with Powell Hall at its heart, will have an array of concession areas, offering a full bar and light snacks at all performances. Details will be announced at a later date.

• Will other events—like the St. Louis Speakers Series—return to Powell Hall?

  We anticipate hosting events for other organizations once again. Stay tuned for more details from those organizations.

• Where else will the SLSO perform during the 25/26 season?

  Most concerts will take place in our expanded and renovated home, Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center. We will still share music throughout the community, including chamber music at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and The Sheldon. Details will be announced at a later date.
