• What improvements will I see in the audience experience at the new Jack C. Taylor Music Center?

  You’ll enjoy a more relaxing and immersive experience, with upgraded amenities, including:

  • Spacious seating: More legroom with new, more comfortable seats
  • Enhanced ambience: Improved acoustics, lighting, and sound resistance
  • Expanded amenities: More restrooms, elevators, and concessions located closer to your seat
  • New gathering areas: New spaces include a multi-story lobby, a coat check, an outdoor plaza, and an upgraded donor lounge on the Dress Circle level
  • Improved accessibility and safety: Multiple ADA-compliant entrances, enhanced security, more ADA seating options, handrails, a softer auditorium slope, and a new viewing room for guests with sensory sensitivities.

• What are my parking options?

  We are working to make parking as convenient as possible. The SLSO will operate its own parking lot immediately east of Powell Hall, accessible from Delmar Blvd. and Samuel Shepard Dr.

  • Prepaid parking in the SLSO lot is available for most concerts while supplies last.
  • Accessibility is improved with 20 ADA spots and enhanced security and lighting. Accessible parking is near the new east entrance.
  • Donors will continue to receive parking and valet benefits according to giving levels.
  • Drop-off/pick-up will be easier with a guest drop-off location at the main entrance via a forecourt accessible from Samuel Shepard Dr.
  • Rideshare options, like Uber and Lyft, have a specific drop-off location on the north side of Powell Hall along Delmar Blvd near the new north entrance.
  • Shuttle service is available for many concerts from Plaza Frontenac.
  • Nearby parking options are numerous in Grand Center.

• How can I purchase tickets?

  Curated and compose-your-own subscriptions are on sale now. Subscription packages start at four concerts. Single tickets for all concerts are also on sale.

• How do I find seating and pricing information?

• What are the food and beverage options?

  The Jack C. Taylor Music Center offers an array of concessions with a full bar and light snacks available at all performances. There several six concession areas: one each in the Berges Family Foundation Lobby and the Wightman Foyer on the orchestra level; the Met Bar on the mezzanine; a mobile bar on the mezzanine; one on the Dress Circle Terrace; one in the Kemper Lounger; and one on the Middle Balcony Terrace.

• Does Powell Hall host other events in addition to orchestra performances?

• Where will the SLSO perform during the 2025/26 season?

  Most concerts will take place in our expanded and renovated home, Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center. We will still share music throughout the community, including chamber music at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and The Sheldon. We also perform free events throughout the region.
