SLSO and CITY to continue collaboration with SLSO performances at 2026 CITY SC matches and other efforts to bring the sounds of SLSO to CITY fans

(December 17, 2025, St. Louis, MO) – The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will celebrate one of the most transformative voices in music history, St. Louisan and global cultural icon Tina Turner, with a one-night-only concert event, Eternal: A Tribute to Tina Turner presented by St. Louis CITY SC. This genre-bending show takes place at 7:00pm, Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the recently renovated Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center.

Music Director Stéphane Denève and guest conductor Anthony Parnther (conductor of the soundtracks to Tenet, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) will lead the orchestra and a curated, dynamic lineup of guests artists—including a to-be-announced headliner as well as two-time GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist Tamika Lawrence, Broadway’s Shaleah Adkisson, Emmy nominee Scott Coulter and other special guests—in a symphonic journey through Turner’s song catalog, from her meteoric rise in St. Louis to her legendary reinvention as a solo artist and global stardom. The program will feature some of the 12-time GRAMMY winner’s most beloved tracks, including “Proud Mary,” “Simply the Best,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” and more.

Eternal is the latest artistic collaboration between the SLSO and CITY SC. The orchestra has performed at Energizer Park on multiple occasions, helping shape a matchday atmosphere where art and community are central to an experience that has captivated the region. This shared belief—that live performance can unite and uplift a city—makes CITY SC a natural presenting partner for this tribute to one of St. Louis’s most enduring musical figures.

Tickets are on sale now to SLSO subscribers and myCITY+ Members. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10:30am, Friday, December 19, at slso.org or by calling the SLSO Box Office at 314-534-1700.

Marie-Hélène Bernard, SLSO President and CEO, said, “We are delighted to partner with CITY SC on this extraordinary tribute to Tina Turner, a musical icon whose artistry transcends generations.  St. Louis played a transformational role in Tina’s storied career, and she embodies the courage, resilience, and spirit of our city. This concert centers our shared priority on elevating St. Louis as one of the most exciting and innovative artistic hubs of the country.”

Matt Sebek, Chief Experience Officer, St. Louis CITY SC, said, “Eternal will be an electrifying show from start to finish, honoring Tina Turner through a powerful reinterpretation of her music by some of the most talented musicians in the world. On our matchdays at Energizer Park and beyond, we have always been about celebrating the very best of St. Louis culture, music, food and arts, and Eternal is an exciting extension of that commitment. It is our distinct honor to partner with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and pay tribute to this legend, her powerful voice and her enduring legacy that continues to resound today.”

The SLSO has performed at Energizer Park in the past, including renditions of the National Anthem and theme music for a tifo reveal by The Saint Louis City Punks, one of St. Louis CITY SC’s seven supporter groups. Led by Eternal, St. Louis CITY SC and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) will continue to collaborate in 2026, with even more SLSO performances at future CITY SC matches, as well other efforts to bring the sounds of SLSO to CITY SC fans.
