Music Quest
Get ready for a fun-filled, 45-minute in-school musical adventure where your 1st-3rd grade students become heroes on a mission to bring music back to the world! Along the way, they’ll explore sounds, solve fun challenges, and unlock the magic of music together.
Applications open Tue, Sep 2–Fri, Oct 31. Applicants will be notified of their status by Fri, Nov 21. Performances will take place January–March, 2026.
Music Quest includes:
- An in-school performance by six SLSO musicians and a host who guides students on their Quest
- Engaging visuals that support the story-based program
- Performances of orchestral favorites including In the Hall of the Mountain King, William Tell Overture, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, The Entertainer, and more
- The opportunity to use live musical performance to explore how the musical elements of tempo, dynamics, and instrumentation affect the emotion of music
