About this Concert

The resounding voices of the US Naval Academy Glee Club fill Powell Hall as these talented midshipmen join the SLSO for an evening celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary. Enjoy an array of Broadway favorites, patriotic anthems, sea shanties, and choral classics. The program’s centerpiece, American Mosaic, is an exciting multimedia experience that pairs a sweeping orchestral journey with breathtaking visuals of the American landscape.

- The USNA Glee Club is comprised of the USNA Men’s Glee Club, one of the world’s premier men’s choral ensembles, and the USNA Women’s Glee Club, the only all-female military choral ensemble in the world.
- The USNA Glee Club has achieved national and international acclaim for its high quality of performance and programming, appearing annually with some of the nation’s premier symphonic organizations, including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony, Nashville Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Charlotte Symphony, and the Jacksonville Symphony. International tours to Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Europe and Japan have also highlighted the Glee Club’s musical excellence.
- Created by Grammy-nominated composer Peter Boyer and renowned photographer Joe Sohm, American Mosaic features several St. Louis landmarks.
