About this Concert

Trumpet, trombone, and piano come together in a dynamic program exploring the many possibilities of chamber music collaboration, curated by SLSO musicians Steven Franklin and Jonathan Randazzo. From intimate solo and duo works to vibrant music for all three instruments, the program moves between contrasting voices, textures, and musical styles. Featuring radiant works by Jacques Castérède, Juraj Filas, Joseph Turrin, and the SLSO’s own Steven Franklin, alongside world premieres from SLSO keyboardist Peter Henderson and Mizzou composer Dean Wibe, the evening showcases the distinctive character and color of these three musical voices.
