Peyton Jones

Fort Zumwalt South High School

Peyton Jones is 15 years old, and this will be her first season in the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. She is currently a sophomore at Fort Zumwalt South High School and performs in their marching band and Wind Ensemble. She has been playing the clarinet for nearly 4 years now, starting back in the 6th grade. In addition to clarinet, she also plays guitar and bass clarinet. She enjoys pretty much anything to do with music and arts.

Peyton has been a part of many performing ensembles since she began playing. These include the metro 8 district honor band all through middle school and continuing in high school, The Saint Charles County Youth Orchestra for 2 seasons, the Saint Louis Youth Wind Symphony in the spring, and plenty more. She has also performed at the Missouri State Solo and Small ensemble festival this past season, receiving a gold rating.

Peyton would like to thank her clarinet lessons teacher Linda Phipps for helping to push her to her goals and being amazing, Dr. Ron Stillwell for gifting her clarinet named Clarence, as well as her parents for keeping up with her busy music schedule.
