Evangelina Brown

Mehlville High School

Evangelina Brown is currently a Senior at Mehlville High School.  She plays French Horn in the Mehlville Symphonic Band, performs in the Front Ensemble in the Marching Panther Band and Trumpet and Piano in the Mehlville Jazz Band.  She has studied piano with Gail Larson and French Horn with Tim Brooks and Blaine Dodson. 

Brown has been a member of the St. Louis Children’s Choir (2013-2019), The Missouri All State Band (2024), The Missouri All State Orchestra (2025) and has participated in Solo and Ensemble Festival at the District and State Level since 2021.  This is her first year as a member of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. 

Outside of Music, Brown is also a competitive golfer. She has been the Gateway PGA Player of the Year three times, the 2023 St. Louis Area First Team All-Metro Golfer and the 2024 St. Louis Area Metro Player of the Year. Since 2023, Brown has been a member of Steph Curry’s Underrated Golf Tour, one of only 48 girls from around the world selected. In 2025, Brown qualified and competed in the USGA Four Ball National Championship, the USGA US Girls’ Junior National Championship and the PGA Junior Championships. After graduation, Brown has committed to play D1 Golf at Wichita State University.
