Charles McGrath

Washington University

Charles McGrath is a junior at Washington University studying Environmental Policy and Geographic Information Systems. He started playing the violin at five years old and is excited to play with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra for a third time. He is thankful for his past teachers Brennan Sweet, Kyle Lombard, Amy Appold, and Siri Geenen. In high school he was assistant concertmaster of the New Jersey All-State orchestra and concertmaster of the New Jersey Youth Symphony. At WashU he was a member of the Symphony Orchestra and plays in the chamber music program.

Aside from playing the violin, Charles loves listening to classical music, especially solo piano. He also enjoys birdwatching and hanging out with his twin brother.
