Youth Orchestra
Tyler He
Tyler He is a senior at Clayton High School, and this is his fourth year as a cellist for the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra.
He’s musical passions start early, inspired by his sister, and he has since studied both cello and piano. He currently studies cello with St. Louis Symphony Orchestra member David Kim and piano with former Washington University professor, Annette Burkhart.
He has been involved in music in numerous ways. These include All-State; piano competitions such as MMTA, Federation, and Guild; school-related activities such as school orchestra, Solo and Ensemble, and serving as a Co-Founder of the Buskers’ Club; and programs through Webster University such as the Prep program.
Outside of music, He enjoys sports, such as swimming and tennis, and dabbling in hobbies such as photography, exploring, eating at new restaurants, hanging out with friends, and soon, DJing!
He would like to thank his teachers, particularly his school orchestra teacher, Mr. Henderson, for his enthusiastic humor, family members, friends, and those who have helped him along his musical and personal journey. He is excited and ready to make his last year of YO his best one!
