Youth Orchestra

Eric Li

Clayton High School

Eric Li is in 9th grade at Clayton High School, and this will be his first season with the St. Louis Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has been playing the clarinet for nearly three years and has experience with many high-level ensembles, such as the International Clarinet Choir. Besides practicing clarinet, Eric enjoys playing soccer and piano.

While playing the clarinet, Eric enjoys collaborating with fellow musicians and looks to develop his skills through orchestral performances, masterclasses, and competitions. However, he believes the thing that pushes his skill the most isn’t solo performances or masterclasses, but preparing for auditions, as he will put in countless hours working towards a good result.

Eric would like to thank his parents for their support, his band directors Tricia Holm and Sophie Browning-Brodack for providing him opportunities, and most notably, his private teacher Scott Andrews for making everything possible.
