Taryn Greeno

Taryn Greeno is a 17-year-old senior at Marquette High School and is thrilled for her second season with the Saint Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. Greeno started playing the flute seven years ago and has been working with her current flute teacher, Nadine Hur, for two years. She has participated in several ensembles, performing as the principal flutist of the Marquette High School Wind Ensemble and pit orchestra, first chair of the Rockwood Honor Band, second chair piccolo of the Missouri All-State Orchestra, and the principal piccolo player of the Community Music School of Webster University’s Young Peoples Symphonic Orchestra.    

Greeno would like to thank all her teachers and mentors that have helped her grow and learn on her music journey. This includes her middle school band directors Caitlin Gierer and Andy Cook, her high school directors Christian Pierce, Kaitlyn Knost, and Eric Schrantz, as well as her flute teacher Nadine Hur.
