Taryn Greeno
Taryn Greeno is a rising junior this year at Marquette High School for her first season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra as an alternate. Greeno started playing the flute in the sixth grade and has recently started working with her new teacher, Nadine Hur. Since then, she has participated in several ensembles, served as principal flutist of the Marquette High School Wind Ensemble and pit orchestra, second chair of the Rockwood honor band, and has participated in the Marquette pep band. Last year, she was also the principal flutist of the Saint Charles County Youth Orchestra and the piccolo player for the Webster University Community Music School Young People’s Concert Orchestra.
Greeno would like to thank all of her teachers and mentors that have helped her grow and learn on her music journey. This includes her middle school band directors Caitlin Gierer and Andy Cook, her high school directors Christian Pierce, Kaitlyn Knost, and Eric Schrantz, as well as her flute teacher Nadine Hur.
