Youth Orchestra
Zaide Rosso
Zaide Rosso is a 16-year-old junior at Mehlville High School and has been playing the clarinet since the 6th grade. This year will be his first with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra as a full-time clarinetist. He was born in Michigan and raised in St. Louis. In his free time, he likes to compose and listen to music.
Rosso’s favorite musical experience thus far has been playing with the internationally prestige Meridian Clarinet Quartet during their clarinet choir festival in fall of 2024. He has composed music for and played in his school theatre pit band as a reed player. He has also participated in Missouri All Regional and State Band during his 8th, 9th, and 10th grade years.
Rosso would like to thank his mom for always supporting his passions, and he would like to thank his band directors and private tutors for pushing him out of his comfort zone.
