Morton has been playing bassoon for six years and participates in her school’s Wind Ensemble. For her freshman, sophomore, and junior years of high school, Morton has been a part of Webster Community Music School’s Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra. Through this program, she also performed in the National Band and Orchestra Festival at Carnegie Hall. She has earned a total of four gold ratings at the State Solo & Ensemble festival, as well as four exemplary ratings at District Solo & Ensemble during her sophomore and junior years. Morton has also participated in both the Missouri All-State Band and the District All-Suburban Band during her junior year.
Outside of music, Morton enjoys learning about art and curation through her internship at the Contemporary Art Museum, volunteering at her church, and crafting. She would like to thank her family, friends, and instructors for their guidance and support on her music journey
