Yosef E. Granillo

Yosef E. Granillo, 14 years old, is a 3rd time member of the St Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra (2nd time as a full member). His 11-year experience with violin also includes two years in the Webster Community Music School Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (1st violin) and one year in the Young People’s Concert Orchestra (1st violin). Yosef also spent four years in the Alton Youth Symphony Orchestra. He won several music competitions over the past four years.  

Yosef is very grateful to be a student of Joo Kim for the past five years. He also studied with Heidi Harris, Tova Braitberg, and Alisha Beseth. Yosef is also very grateful to his parents who support his musical and many other pursuits. 

Yosef became a National Merit Scholar this year and is heading to college early. His interests are math, computer science, medicine, and of course, music!
