Youth Orchestra
Luke Tung
Luke Tung is a junior at Thomas Jefferson School. This is his third season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra as a violinist.
Tung has participated in various music programs, such as the Community Music School (CMS) of Webster University’s Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra (YPSO), the CMS Chamber Music Pilot Program, and the University of Missouri, St. Louis Orchestra. He is also active in music and service events throughout his school and community.
Tung is grateful to everyone who has supported his music journey, including past teachers and his current teacher, Angie Smart, for their instruction and inspiring him to be the musician he is today. He is also very grateful to his family for their unwavering support.
Besides music, Tung enjoys playing basketball, biking, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. Fun fact: his hidden talent is photography!
