Yuntian Hao

Yuntian Hao is a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School and is excited to begin his first season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has been playing the violin since fourth grade and currently studies with Xiaoxiao Qiang. Hao has developed a passion for orchestral and chamber music while continuing to grow as a performer.  

Over the past several years, Hao has participated in several youth music programs throughout the St. Louis area, including the Community Music School of Webster University’s Young People’s Concert and Symphonic Orchestras, Credo St. Louis, and his school’s Strolling Strings ensemble. He earned Missouri All-State Orchestra Honorable Mention recognition and was a finalist in the Community Music School Preparatory Program Concerto Competition. In addition to the violin, Hao also plays guitar and piano. Outside of music, he enjoys competing with Ladue’s robotics team, reading, and listening to his favorite artists.  

Hao would like to thank his current teacher, Xiaoxiao Qiang, and his former teacher, Wendy Rosen, for their guidance and support throughout his musical journey. He is also grateful to his current school orchestra director, Sarah Heuermann, and former director, Twinda Murry, for their encouragement and mentorship. Above all, Hao sincerely thanks his family for their unwavering love and support.
