Noah Lipe

John Burroughs School

Noah Lipe is a 16-year-old Junior at John Burroughs School. He has played the cello for eight years. This is Lipe’s third year in the SLSYO. He was a member of the Missouri All-State Orchestra in 2024 and 2025.

Lipe also played in Webster University’s Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra for three years and the Young People’s Concert Orchestra for three years. He is a member of the John Burroughs piano trio with Brandon Hu and Jerry Chang. Aside from playing the cello, Lipe enjoys gardening, running, marine biology, and volunteering at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, Magic House, and working at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center.

Lipe would like to thank many people for supporting his musical journey over the past seven years, including Mrs. Fariga Drayton-Conway for teaching him to love cello; Ms. Sarah Klevorn for making orchestra so much fun; Dr. Anita Hagerman for always bringing smiles to the orchestra room; his parents for leading the way; and mostly, Mr. Ken Kulosa for his outstanding instruction.
