St. Louis Symphony Orchestra
For 146 years, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra has been woven into the community’s story as a source of joy, inspiration, reflection, comfort, and healing.
The SLSO is the nation’s second-oldest orchestra, marking its 146th year with the 2025/26 season. Widely considered a leading American orchestra, the Grammy Award-winning SLSO is dedicated to its mission of enriching lives through the power of music.
Led by the heartfelt approach of Stéphane Denève, the Joseph and Emily Rauh Pulitzer Music Director, the orchestra presents dozens of concerts annually at its home, Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center. A cornerstone of the St. Louis community, the SLSO interacts meaningfully with audiences beyond the concert hall and throughout the region. Musicians are deeply invested in engagement programs, fostering a vibrant and connected community.
