Youth Orchestra
Alexander Tung
Alexander is a rising junior at Brentwood High School. This is his third year with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra and his tenth year playing violin. Although his school doesn’t have an orchestra program, he is actively involved in many music opportunities outside of school. He has previously been a part of the Missouri All-State Orchestra, the University of Missouri St. Louis Orchestra, All-Suburban Orchestra, and various orchestras in the Community Music School (CMS) of Webster University, including the Preparatory Program (Prep).
Besides music, Alex enjoys various outdoor activities, playing tennis, exploring nature, trivia games, and spending time with his family and friends.
Alex is very grateful for everyone who has supported his music journey, including past teachers David Liu and Rose Martin from the CMS Suzuki Program, his current teacher Angie Smart of the SLSO, and would like to thank his family for their unwavering support.
Alex is looking forward to the upcoming season in SLSYO with his brother Luke and all the musicians!
