Benji Chu
Benji Chu is an 8th grader at Wydown Middle School. He is both a serious violinist and singer. Last year, Chu performed in Carnegie Hall with his youth orchestra, Young Person’s Symphonic Orchestra. As a singer, he performs in the Concert Choir of St Louis Children’s Chorus. He auditioned for and was chosen to perform in Opera Theatre of St. Louis’s production of Benjamin Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream a few months ago.
Chu has also recently discovered a love of musical theatre, performing and starring in two shows at WMS. He also participated in a selective program at the World Chess Hall of Fame called Select Chess. Chu feels lucky to have studied with Joo Kim for seven years.
