Ian Cho
Ian Cho is a 16-year-old sophomore at Parkway West High School. This is his first season playing with SLSYO. He started his cello journey at age nine and has worked with Dr. Jun Seo and James Czyzewski during his cello career. In the past, he has taken part in the Webster University Community Music School’s String Orchestra, YPCO, and YPSO programs for five years in total. He has also participated in Credo St. Louis, the St. Louis Youth Ambassadors orchestra, and his school chamber music program.
Aside from the cello, Cho enjoys sports like swimming and water polo. He also has a passion for mathematics, church, piano, and spending time with his dog, Sugar.
Cho would like to thank James Czyzewski, Dr. Jun Seo, Rebecca Pantano, Ed Sandheinrich, Patrick Jackson, his friends, and his family for getting him to where he is today.
