Youth Orchestra
Eileen Hinners
Eileen Hinners is a 15-year-old sophomore at Parkway Central High School and is in her first year with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. She discovered her passion for music through her first instrument, the piano, taught by her mother.
She began studying cello at the age of five and currently studies with David Kim. Hinners’s orchestral experience includes the Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra, the St. Charles County Youth Orchestra—where she won the 2024 Concerto Competition—and the Parkway Community Orchestra. In 2025, she was selected as a member of the Missouri All-State Orchestra.
Outside of music, Hinners enjoys debate, creative writing, and getting boba with friends.
She would like to give a huge thanks to her parents, her first cello teacher Stephanie Hunt, her current cello teacher David Kim, her church orchestra director Dr. John Francis, and her school orchestra director Alicia Bont for guiding and encouraging her musical journey.
